Teri Corbin is a teacher at Competitive Edge Charter Academy in Yucaipa. She runs the ASB program which has about 25-30 Student Leaders. These students are some of the most amazing kids you would ever want to meet. They are very involved in their school as well as many local nonprofit organizations. For the past couple of years they have planed and implemented a series of fundraisers for the local charity Smiles for Seniors where they sell items such as cotton candy, snow cones and other snacks to their peers at school. They even hold special fundraising events like the ever popular Movies and Popcorn and have already raised over $1,133 for Smiles for Seniors.

Even at a young age these kids understand the hardships our low income seniors have to endure. They see a need and they pitch in and do their part to make the lives of seniors a little bit easier. They are so very caring and thoughtful. After meeting these kids I can tell you that our future looks bright and that they are going to be amazing future leaders and an unstoppable force for good in our very own community one day. On behalf of our organization and the low income seniors we serve; Thank you Ms. Corbin and Thank you to the amazing students at Competitive Edge Charter Academy Yucaipa for all of you hard work and effort to help others. You are truly making a difference!
