Wild fires in Yucaipa have happened time and time again and continue. Easy to see is high dry grass in open areas and along side of our public streets and highways.

Our city council does not practice an ongoing fire prevention policy. Effective actions should include controlled burns, maintain defensible space, and keeping the dry vegetation down to eliminate fuels that feed fires. This issue remains a public safety issue at great expense for all of us.

A good start is to post signs and to enforce no smoking, spark, or flame devices in vulnerable to fire areas.
