This is something I borrowed a bit from Red Skelton from a 1952 presentation, 69 years ago.

He was an amazing patriot, comedian and philanthropist.

In the year 1620 (over 400 years ago), a group of hardy determined people came across the Atlantic Ocean in quest of a land they might live in. And worship freely above a whisper.

History tells us that on the last Thursday in November, they gave humble thanks to God for their freedom.

This year, when we offer thanks to God, let us also ask him to give us the strength to keep a firm hold on our freedom because there are no more free lands to go to. And our wonderful American freedom is being threatened again, on many fronts today.
