On Oct. 12, 2020, city council approved $918,000 for a purchase to Tyler Technologies, Inc. Apparently, city staff felt it best to proceed using a third party process called Sourcewell Cooperative Contract… and, to waive the city formal solicitation and bid process.

The long established norm for a government agency is to directly perform a cost-benefit analysis comparing the existing to new alternative. If the analysis results to purchase, then proceed to evaluate competing supplier bids to produce an effective purchase.

Our tax dollars should be spent wisely and with full accountability.
