Every year on April 24, my online calendar reminds me this was the 1970 release date of “Question” by The Moody Blues, seminal then and still. These were the last days of my teens, The Beatles had sent us off in late ‘69 with what remains a guiding principle—”The Love You Take Is Equal to the Love You Make” — and “Question” spurred principle into action. We had a lot of work to do. The work remains, with Greta Thunberg and others worldwide in her alpha generation worthy, active inheritors of the mantle:

“Why do we never get an answer

When we’re knocking at the door

With a thousand million questions

About hate and death and war?

‘Cause when we stop and look around us

There is nothing that we need

In a world of persecution

That is burning in its greed.”
