I have been wondering how many years ahead the Calimesa Planning Commission, Mayor Davis and the Calimesa City Council members plan ahead regarding the warehouses developers want to build in Calimesa. I have heard and read many times that eventually warehouses will become robotic instead of hiring people. When that happens employees will be laid off.
So much for the jobs developers now building warehouses offer.
Also I have read that businesses and manufacturer's are looking at shipping their products directly to consumers instead of going through the “middle man” like Amazon etc. Then what will happen to all the warehouses in Calimesa? Is there a plan for if that happens the warehouses will not set empty like the Redlands and Carousel malls attracting the homeless and graffiti? I would like to hear what the plan is.
