Thomas Albert Huckeba Sr., 78, passed on Monday, Aug. 5,, 2019, with his family by his side, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Miss.
He was born Jan. 22, 1941, in Lucerne Valley, to Oliver Wesley and Olivia Huckeba.
He graduated from the American Barber College of Southern California on March 8, 1966. During his working years he was a barber in Calimesa at the Plaza Barber Shop until he moved to Loveland, Colo., and operated his own barber shop in Berthoud, Colo. He and his wife, Donna, retired to Scottsburg, Ore. and owned Angler’s Park together.
He is preceded in death by his parents Oliver Wesley and Olivia Huckeba; wife Donna Huckeba; six brothers, Wesley, Jackie, Bill, Darwin, Dick, Joe, one sister, Darlene Chapman, and one granddaughter, Rachel Bradshaw.
He is survived by three sisters, Noreen “Susie” Janice Huckeba Slone, Andrea Dee “Cookie” Rutledge, both Hemet, Linda Twite and husband Dale, Lanesboro, Minn.; his four children, son Thomas Jr, and wife Kristie, son John and wife Cora, all Stella, Mo., daughter Dr. Tammy Bradshaw-Scott, and husband Wayne Scott, Yucaipa, daughter Pallas Stallard and husband Paul Stallard, Lincoln City, Ore.; 13 grandchildren, Suzie Harrison and husband Chris, Michelee Rich, Robert Huckeba, John Huckeba Jr., Sarah Bradshaw, Kyle Huckeba, Hannalee Clay, Melody Springer and husband Chandon, Morialee Huckeba, Thomas Huckeba lll, Oliver Huckeba, Colleen Stallard-Getty and husband Alexander, and Ivan Stallard; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
No funeral arrangements have been made.
