Nancy-Bea Welden, 79, died Aug. 8, 2020, after a long illness.
She was born July 13, 1941, in Palos Verdes Estates, to Richard and Audrey Esselman.
She attended schools in Redwood Beach, and graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a degree in Business Administration.
Nancy-Bea was formerly married to Richard "Red" Simmons. They raised three children in Yucaipa. Later on she was married to William Welden (since deceased) and lived for some time in Oregon.
Returning to Yucaipa where she spent the last 16 years of her life, Nancy-Bea was a member of the Yucaipa Junior Womans Club, the National Business Women’s Association and the National Organization for Women.
She is preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law Laurie and Ron Hunt.
Nancy-Bea is survived by sons, Dr. Michael (Nora) Simmons of Napa, and Ron (Vicki) Simmons of Riverside, as well as granddaughter, Kara Hunt, and sister, Betty Ann McGowan.
