Kenneth William Shogren

Kenneth William Shogren, passed away at his home in Hemet on July 24, 2019 of natural causes.

Kenneth was born in Le Seur County, Minn., on May 25, 1923.

Kenneth served in WWII as an engineer in France. After his military service, he returned to Gustavis Adolifis University in St. Peter, Minn., where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in physics. He worked for Aerospace in El Segundo, until he retired. His favorite pastimes were golf, card games and laughing with his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife Gloria Rose Shogren and daughter Carol Ann Cates.

He is survived by his daughters Mary Brein and Sue Hubka of Hemet, and his sons Robert Shogren (Tammy) of Yucaipa and Kenneth Shogren (Mary) of San Jacinto. He had five grandchildren: James Hubka of Los Angeles, Michael Hubka of LaQuinta, David Hubka of El Segundo, Sharon Shogren of Yucaipa, and William Russell Shogren of Newport News, Va.He also had seven great-grandchildren: Riley and Lily Hubka of LaQuinta, Logan Shogren and Rylee Pruett of Yucaipa, Ben and Katherine Hubka of El Segundo, and Jordyn Shogren of Newport News, Va.

Funeral services will be held at Calvary Hills Cemetery in Lonsdale, Minn., on Sept. 26, at 10 a.m.
