John Robert Cheetham died at home in Kihei, Maui, on Sept. 19, 2021. He was born Nov. 16, 1946, in Yorkshire, England.
Jack grew up in Madison, Wis., and moved to Yucaipa after high school graduation and married his high school sweetheart in 1965.
After graduating from California State University, San Bernardino, he worked for Glaxo SmithKline pharmaceutical company for almost 30 years. He lived in Yucaipa until 2013, when he and Sheila moved to his dream home in Maui, to be closer to family.
Jack truly loved spending time with family and friends, cooking and having everyone over for dinner and happy hour. He was such a generous and outgoing spirit and will be truly missed.
Jack is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sheila; daughters Lori Cheetham and Christine Cheetham Good (Craig); grandsons Chad Cheetham (Elaine), John Cheetham (Jenelle), Matthew Good (Lacey), Terran Elliott, and Kian Good; granddaughter Jessie Good; great- grandchildren Noah, Caleb, Isaac and Asher Cheetham, Keao Cheetham and Cecilia Elliott. Also, sisters and brothers-in-law, Paulette and Ron Schmidt, Tom and Toni Dorn, Steve and Becki Dorn, and Robin MacGregor, Aunt Mona Napstad, and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marion Rennie Cheetham, and his brother David MacGregor Sr.
A celebration of life is planned for Nov. 15, in Maui.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Duchennes Muscular Distrophy or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
