Gerry was born, Geraldine Mauldin on June 15, 1929, in Mountain View, Ark., the daughter of Olas and Maggie Mauldin, where she lived until she graduated from Mountain View School.
She moved to Indio, in about 1955, to work with her brother, Bill Mauldin at his date farm. She then moved to Riverside, and worked as a medical assistant where she met and then married the love of her life, Raymond Sutton on March 23, 1957.
