Charles Clay Humphries

Cahrles Clay Humphries died on Oct. 19, 2021.

Clay was born on Nov. 13, 1952, in Mentone to Charles and Billie Humphries. He grew up and lived in Yucaipa for over 65 years and was admired, loved, and known to many in the community as a caring friend.

In 1984, Clay received the Lord Jesus as his Savior and asked the Lord to show him who to marry. Shortly thereafter he met and married Candace, calling this a match truly made in Heaven. Clay was many things, but he was a loyal servant to God, first and foremost. He spent many hours with his family, especially his children and grandchildren – all of whom appreciated hearing the stories of his adventures growing up in Yucaipa.

He was a very talented storyteller. He also enjoyed volunteering on church projects, helping family and friends, and getting together with his buddies to play guitars.

He will be greatly missed by so many. We love you Clay, Dad, Papa, and we take comfort and look forward to seeing you again one day.

Clay is survived by his wife, Candace; his five children, Jamie, Shelly, Samone, Robin and Joe; his mother, Billie; his brother, Ross and 15 grandchildren. Preceded by his father, Charles and brother, Travis.

The services will be private.
