Susan Eileen Lewis (Ehret), 77, died after a long illness on Jan. 2, 2021 at a senior retirement home in Irvine. Susan was born Nov. 15, 1943, in Los Angeles, the daughter of Kermit M. Geary and Emily Emeline (Ehret) Geary.

Richard (Dick) Allen Davis, 90, died on Dec. 27, 2020, at Redlands Community Hospital, a casualty of COVID-19.

Thomas Gene Sylvester, died on Dec. 24, 2020, after a long battle with lung problems. He was under the loving care of his wife Mary Ann and sister-in-law June McDade when he went to join his heavenly family.

Mary Elma Popkins Mireles, 75, died Dec 3, 2020, in McAllen, Texas, peacefully with family by her side.

Thomas F. Grimes, III, a University of Redlands graduate who recently returned to Calimesa from a 10-year mission in Tirana, Albania, died on Dec. 19, 2020. He was 51.

She was born Jan. 17, 1924 to Merl William Brown and Elmira Smith Brown.

Timothy John Best, a Redlands native who taught drafting and coached football at Yucaipa High School for 31 years, died on Dec. 12, 2020, after a battle with Lewy Body, a form of dementia.

Colleen was raised in Omaha, Neb. until she was 18.

Ryan V. Gould, 30, died on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020. He was found unresponsive by his father at his home in Yucaipa. Paramedics and police were called and Ryan was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mary Catherine Sukowske, 93, died Sept. 2, 2020. Mary Catherine (Vicki) was born Aug. 1, 1927, to William Pearl Colbert and Pauline Catherine Cutright in St. Charles, Mo.

Ray Barnett, 89, died on Oct. 5, 2020. He was a longtime resident of Yucaipa.

Michael Lewis Helt died on Nov. 2, 2020. He was 76 years old. Born in Santa Ana, to Hayden and Velma Helt. Michael moved to Yucaipa in 2010, where he made many friends at Yucaipa Crest.
