YAPS fundraiser

Teddy is up for adoption at YAPS.

The biggest challenge of 2020 for Yucaipa Animal Placement Society (YAPS) has been the inability to hold fundraising events. Events bring in approximately 20% of the annual operating budget. COVID-19 has made the team at YAPS get a creative when it comes to fundraising.

YAPS did not have the annual Bets for Pets Casino Night Fundraiser in 2020. In 2019, Bets for Pets raised $40,000. YAPS is holding a series of smaller events to keep their operating budget rolling.

The YAPS online estate sale will open up bidding on Oct. 17. All you have to do is visit https://inlandempireauctions.com/ to get a sneak peek of what will be available to bid on. Bidding ends on Oct. 21, 2020. Winners can pick up their items on Oct. 24.

Once on the Inland Empire Auction website, scroll down to “Upcoming Auctions” to view the YAPS Estate Sale.

Yucaipa Animal Placement Society (YAPS) is a no kill, nonprofit pet rescue facility for cats and dogs. YAPS’ mission is to prevent euthanasia of dogs and cats throughout the Inland Empire by providing pets a temporary safe haven until a loving, permanent home can be found. Every week at YAPS rescues pets from local shelters and from owners that can no longer care for them.
