Albert Bujanda, one of the Health and Biomedical Sciences Academy 10th grade students, was notified he has been chosen to participate in the Eugene and Ruth Roberts Summer Student Academy through the City of Hope. Albert was one of 100 students chosen from over 2,100 applicants to participate. He will be matched with a medical doctor or medical researcher from City of Hope and he will help them on a summer research project. This summer academy will be five days a week, eight hours a day for six weeks.
When asked about the summer opportunity Albert said, “I am extremely excited for the opportunity to work with medical professionals at City of Hope!”
Health and Biomedical Science Academy Lead Teacher Tana DeLeon said, “The knowledge and experience that he will gain during this 10-week experience will be life changing. It will shape how he finishes his high school years and help to guide his decisions for the future.”
