According to a press release by San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, at 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 14, Yucaipa Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a major injury traffic collision on Yucaipa Boulevard at the intersection with Fifth Street. Deputies arrived and found a 56-year-old female unconscious in the intersection. During the investigation, deputies determined 42-year-old Sarah Perez-Snowball drove west on Yucaipa Blvd. and struck the pedestrian as she was walking north across Yucaipa Blvd. while in the crosswalk. Perez-Snowball remained at the scene and provided information to responding deputies. The pedestrian was transported to Redlands Community Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
