Yucaipa gets new code enforcement officer

Rodney Henderson

Paul Toomey, Director of Community Development, introduced new Yucaipa code enforcement officer, Rodney Henderson, to Yucaipa City Council on Oct. 28.

“We searched high and wide for a replacement for a staff member that retired a couple of months ago and with over 300 applicants, it is amazing how many people are looking for jobs in the city of Yucaipa,” said Toomey. “Henderson was born and raised in the city of Yucaipa. He had the unique experience of working in the country of Haiti as his father was in the Air Force. After serving in the Marine Corps he worked for the city of San Bernardino, city of Carlsbad and now has been hired as the new code enforcement officer for the city of Yucaipa. His greatest strength is his discipline and integrity that he learned from his father and the Marine Corps itself.”

Henderson thanked city council.

“I want to say thank you,” said Henderson. “I’m excited to be a part of the Yucaipa staff. I’m very blessed to have obtained this position as a code enforcement officer for the city of Yucaipa and use my skills here. I am more than blessed to work and live in the same city.”
