On May 18, Sheriff's Yucaipa Station Deputies Bremer and Coillot were patrolling in the south Yucaipa area. As they drove through the Arco AM/PM at Oak Glen Road and Calimesa Boulevard, they observed the occupants of a gold Toyota behaving suspiciously. A registration check showed the vehicle was reported stolen out of Cabazon.

The deputies stopped the vehicle and detained the occupants without incident. The driver, Peter Guerrero, 25, of Yucaipa, had a felony warrant for his arrest for violating the terms of his Post Release Community Supervision. A passenger, 25-year-old Nicholes LaFrance, was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Both Guerrero and LaFrance were booked into Central Detention Center. LaFrance was cite released and Guerrero is being held without bail on multiple felony charges.
