On Monday, March 9, at approximately 3:05 a.m., deputies from the Yucaipa Police Department and emergency personnel from CALFIRE responded to a single-vehicle traffic collision in the area of Yucaipa Boulevard and 16th Avenue. Upon arrival, a male, later identified as Lorenzo Brino, 21, of Yucaipa, was pronounced deceased inside the vehicle. Deputies were advised that the black Toyota Sedan was traveling westbound on Yucaipa Boulevard when for an unknown reason, went into opposing lanes and collided into a utility pole.

The cause of the collision is under investigation by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Major Accident Investigation Team.
