Deputies and Specialized Enforcement Division arrested Eduardo Alvarado for numerous sex crimes against a child

A 16-year-old San Bernardino resident reported he had been sexual abused by his relative, Eduardo Alvarado, 46, of Yucaipa, over the course of several years while visiting Alvarado at his home. On Feb. 15, Yucaipa Police Department investigators and Specialized Enforcement Division detectives contacted Alvarado during a search warrant service at his residence. Detectives arrested Alvarado following the service of the search warrant.

Alvarado is a Redlands School District employee at Redlands East Valley High School. The victim is not a Redlands School District student but detectives suspect there may be additional victims.

Alvarado is in custody at West Valley Detention Center and is being held on $750,000 bail. He is expected to be arraigned on Feb. 20, in San Bernardino Superior Court.
