The Yucaipa Valley Lions Club would like to invite the public to participate in the 63rd annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec. 9, at noon. Check in time will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and there will be no entry fee.

To enter, complete and return an entry form, which can be picked up at the News Mirror office at 35154 Yucaipa Blvd. or the Yucaipa Chamber of Commerce at 35139 Yucaipa Blvd. Parade order and staging information will be sent to all entries prior to the parade, entry numbers are selected at random and not by date received.

All entries are encouraged to include Christmas music.

No Santa Claus entries will be allowed, as the Yucaipa Valley Chamber of Commerce has invited Santa to attend the end of the parade.

For over a decade Nita Allgower has been the parade chairman.

“If you missed the parade, you don’t know what you’re missing. Come out and join us for a fun family event,” said Allgower.

This year’s Grand Marshal will be Theresa Law who will soon be turning 100 years old. The parade will feature dignitaries, Firefighter of the Year, Police Officer of the Year, Citizen of the Year, Citizen Patrol of the Year and Chamber Ambassador of the Year.

For more information, text Nita Allgower at 223-6140.
