Despite the heat, many attended the Yucaipa Concert in the Park on Sunday, July 16, at the Community Center.

JoJo’s Grill-a-Dog had its food truck on site and there was a stand selling water, sno-cones and kettle corn.

BetaMAXX entertained the crowd with such ‘80s hits as Def Leppard’s “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” and Katrina & The Waves, “Walking on Sunshine.”

The group was formed in 2009 and has been performing all over Southern California. Attendees of all ages left their chairs to dance along with the high-energy band.

Yucaipa Concerts in the Park are held each Sunday at the Yucaipa Community Park Amphitheatre, 34900 Oak Glen Rd.

Sunday, July 23 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. SMITH, a country music band, will be performing. SMITH is a six-piece country music group who performs country classics as well as modern country music.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase and it’s suggested to bring your own blankets and/or chairs.
