Levi Schmidt, 29, was arrested after a traffic stop on Nov. 27, at 11:34 a.m., on Yucaipa Boulevard.
A traffic stop was conducted on Schmidt when his vehicle displayed expired registration tags. During the stop the suspect was found to have an active misdemeanor warrant due to numerous outstanding vehicle code violations and failure to appear.
During the search of the vehicle, several large pieces of aluminum and copper cable were located in the vehicle. The cable was identified as the same cable used on a Southern California Edison company job site near by.
Schmidt was arrested and released on bail.
